At Imperium Electrics Ltd. we take very seriously our responsibility to keep our staff and our clients safe and healthy. We understand the risks associated with the Electrical Industry and therefore we take extra care to promote and encourage that as a company, we follow the correct procedures to ensure everybody involved feels safe at all times. This policy is made in fulfilment of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and any other relevant regulations to Imperium Electrics.

INSTITUTION OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

​

Imperium Electrics are registered and qualified with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and our Director, Alex Stan, has gone through extensive training to apply essential skills in the working environment. 

​

​

COVID 19

​

We understand that a large portion of what we do, entails working in the personal space of our clients. In the light of ongoing concerns around Covid 19, it is custom that all our staff wear necessary PPE where agreed and reasonable, to protect themselves and our clients. Our staff will be provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for as long as is necessary or required. 

​

  • When a client is home and one of our staff members visit the site, everyone is required to wear a face covering. 

  • In the case a client is not home or in the same indoor space as our staff, it is optional for our staff to wear a face covering. However mandatory to disinfect the entire space before they leave. 

  • Staff are also required to wear gloves, unless work is restricted to do so.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS POLICY

​

The implementation of this policy will fulfil all and any legislative requirements the Company is subject to through ensuring:

​

  1. That all reasonable and practical steps and measures are taken to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all employees of Imperium Electrics while in a working environment. 

  2. That the safety and health of any members of the public that we may encounter, or any other persons who may visit sites and locations where the Company carries out its business operations, is protected so far as is reasonably practical. 

  3. That sufficient measures are implemented by Imperium Electrics to prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health, by managing the health and safety risks in the workplace.

  4. Provision of clear and adequate information, instructions and training to all employees to ensure that they are competent to carry out their work in a responsible and safe manner. 

  5. To ensure that all staff members undergo necessary health and safety training and understand the risks associated with the electrical industry. 

  6. Company engagement with and consultation of employees on a regular and appropriate basis in relation to the health and safety conditions of their work for Imperium Electrics. 

  7. Investigation and understanding of emergency procedures at regular and familiar sites in the event of a fire or any other hazard that threaten the health and safety of employees and others.

  8. That Imperium Electrics maintains safe and healthy working conditions, provides and maintains all necessary equipment and any other goods or tools which are necessary for employees to carry out the duties of their role with Imperium Electrics.

RISK ASSESSMENT

​

  1. Relevant risk assessments will be completed regularly and actions arising out of those assessments will be implemented where necessary.

  2. Where working habits or conditions change, for example in a construction site, risk assessments will constantly be reassessed and reviewed to ensure we are always aware of any hazards. 

  3. This will be the responsibility of our Qualified Supervisor, Alex Stan.

HEALTH AND SAFETY SIGNAGE

​

  1. All necessary signage for the protection and safety of employees and any other persons entering and present on any site managed by Imperium Electrics, will be displayed clearly and updated as necessary. 

  2. Escape routes shall be well signed and kept clear at all times

  3. Evacuation plans and procedures will be tested regularly and updated when required. This shall be the responsibility of our Qualified Supervisor, Alex Stan.

COMPANY EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY

​

We will regularly implement systematic inspections and testing of all equipment and machinery belonging to Imperium Electrics, such as company cars, electrical tools, PPE, to ensure that any necessary action is carried out promptly and efficiently when defects or problems are discovered. This is to ensure that our staff can continue to use safe machinery and equipment at work. Regular investigations are the responsibility of our Qualified Supervisor, Alex Stan.

DUTY TO COOPERATE

​

All and any employees, or other persons working with Imperium Electrics, have a duty to cooperate in the implementation of this policy through:

​

  1. Working and conducting themselves in a responsible manner that promotes their own safety and the safety of others. 

  2. Following and obeying procedures and practices of the Company that have been designed and implemented to ensure safe and healthy working conditions. 

  3. Reporting accidents and any other working conditions they may feel are unsafe and have led or may lead to injury or damage, to the Qualified Supervisor, Alex Stan.

  4. Assisting in any necessary investigations of accidents with the aim of introducing new measures to prevent reoccurrence.

  5. Using any personal protective equipment that has been provided by Imperium Electrics for the personal safety of employees under the requirements of the law at the time. 

  6. Where any employees or any other persons do not follow the relevant training, signage or wearing of personal protective equipment, Imperium Electrics shall not be held to have acted in contravention to this policy.

FIRST AID BOX

​

An up to date First Aid Box can be found at all times in our company van in the case of an emergency.

​

FIRE EXTINGUISHER

​

An up to date Fire Extinguisher can be found at all times in our company van. 

​

​

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

​

If we change our Health and Safety at Work Policy, we will post the changes on this page. We recommend that you check this page regularly to keep up-to-date.
